SWGalaxies.net youtube channel wants your videos(9) Recently launched http://www.youtube.com/swgalaxies channel is looking out for videos from current and old players to add to the site. If you've some cool PRE cu videos, current pvp battles, or just some excellent home show videos, we want to hear from you! Don't worry if these videos are not on youtube, we can convert and upload to our channel on your behalf.
All you have to do is send us the video together with some text about the video and it will be added, once converted. If you are interested, please drop me an email - darthmauluk@gmail.com
Winners will receive an autographed copy of Star Wars Galaxies: Complete Online Adventures. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place movies will also receive a 60 day game card!
The contest starts on April 1st, 2008 and ends on May 7th, 2008. To avoid confusion, entries will be accepted on the 7th.
A link to your movie needs to be posted in our Contest forum.
Movies must be from within the past 12 months.
Please provide your in game name when submitting your movie, as well as the category you are entering. If you think your movie can go into more than one category, please name them.
Winners will be notified via e-mail and you must provide your full name and address in a reply. That way, we can send you the prize. If you'd rather not post your email address with your entry, please email me at rainstar@stratics.com and let me know which entry is yours.
All winning entries will be posted on SWG Stratics.

Join the Star Wars Galaxies programming team for a Stratics chat on Wednesday, May 14 from 5 PM PDT / 7:00 PM! The programming team will be there to answer all your questions about what makes SWG tick.
Please keep in mind that the programming team will be addressing questions about systems and other technical questions you may have, as well as questions about the game industry in general. Please understand that the programming team will not be able to answer questions about SWG game or profession design.
Here's how you can attend!
When: Wednesday, May 14, at 5:00 PM PDT / 7:00 PM CDT / 8:00 PM EDT.
Where: Log on to your trusty IRC program and join the #StraticsHoC channel on Stratics IRC.
How: Joining is easy! Just connect through Stratics' handy Java client, which may be found right here. You must have Java installed on your computer to use this, which can be downloaded from the Java web site.
If you prefer the old fashioned way to connect to Stratics IRC, you can connect to the Stratics Chat servers through the use of your favorite IRC client, such as mIRC, ircle, xchat, or whichever you prefer.

How to ask your Chapter 9 questions at the chat:
Get your questions ready and join the chat.
When it's time for the chat, log in and wait for the event to start. Our fine Stratics hosts will begin the chat and then you can ask your questions.
Use IRC messaging to send your questions to the moderators. The moderators will choose questions based on the current topics (see the chat details).
Type /msg [QT]NICKNAME Your question here.
Please send questions only to the QT's (moderators) because questions sent to anyone other than the QT's will not make it into the lineup.

Welcome to the new weekly game that tests your knowledge of all things Star Wars Galaxies! This is a game we like to call The Riddler!
The rules are pretty simple - I will post a riddle that can be about any item, person, place, or thing in the Star Wars Galaxies universe. The game will continue until the riddle has been solved.
After the riddle has been posted, guesses will only be allowed in the thread until after The Riddler has been solved. Please don?t clutter up the thread by discussing anything else within it until the game is over. After it is, you can discuss The Riddler all you want?but until that time, anyone posting anything other than an answer to The Riddler will have their post removed.

It?s an image from somewhere inside the Star Wars Galaxies world. But it?s broken into several puzzle pieces ? and you only get to see a few at a time until someone here on the message board correctly identifies the location depicted in the picture!
What do I get for solving The Puzzler?
If you are the first one to figure out the ?mystery location? by posting it in The Puzzler thread, you will hereby get bestowed upon you the forum title ?Puzzler? along with the cool Puzzler icon.
There is only one winner a week so you have to be quick! The Puzzler ?Rules?
An individual can only win The Puzzler once, so if you?ve already won, please step aside and let others try their hand at it.
After the first set of puzzle pieces are posted, location guesses only will be allowed in the thread until after The Puzzler has been solved. Please don?t clutter the thread up by discussing anything else within it until the game is over. After it is, you can discuss The Puzzler to your heart?s content?but until that time, anyone posting anything other than a location in the thread will have their post removed.
You must be the first person to post the in-game location of the image within 50 units of where the image was taken (for example if the image was taken at 500, -500 and you posted 525, -450 you would be correct).
In the event that 2 people post at the same time on the message board (and the time stamp reflects this), whoever guessed the location within the closest amount of units will be the winner!
