Big thanks to GM-Axlcruise who helped me on starsider server today with an NPC who was stuck in a tree. He was a great help and the amount of time it took for him to get to my request for ingame help was very quick. All an all a great bit of Cust Service. Thanks Axlcruise

Bundle question(1)
I am purchased the bundle early this morning but seems like I am only downloading the trial version because the download time was only 1hr and I also didnt get the product key or anything.Anyone please could explain this to me?thanks in advance

[Resolved]CTD's(34)

ok so i don't think this is a ram issue so i'll see if this can define the problem.

so i'm able to log in for a few secs or minutes the graphics usually go all weird when it's about to happen whilst before hand everything runs smoothly at 30fps. when i re launch the launchpad it re downloads files like data_sample_00 or 01 and such. i remember i used to get this problem a couple of months back and was usually resolved when a new patch was available or when the servers reset.

Any help is appreciated

but just in case:

Ok it's the fifth time in the last two weeks that europe-infinity is down (offline or long-loading status) in the last two weeks with no update/backup planished.

We had no information on what happened last week and it seems the problem has not been resolved. How much time will we have to wait this time ? 5 hours ? 10 hours, 15 hours just like wednesday/thursday last week ? 1 day ? 1 week ?

secret question(5)

im trying to start a new account but   account managment will not let me select a secret question ,no selections show up .

anyone have any idea

To anyone having login problems - PLEASE READ (8)
To any affected SWG players:

I need to get a list going of any people that are currently having an issue similar to this:

You're launching SWG - picking a character - loading the game. The game loads completely and you may start hearing sound effects from the game itself. Then you either get kicked back to the Character selection screen or out of the game entirely.

--

If this sounds close to what you're experiencing, send me a PM with your account name(s) and exactly how long this has been occurring for you. Also, if you're getting kicked from the game entirely after loading the character, include any error messages that you may be getting.

Also give a post to this thread so I can get a good idea on how many people are having trouble as a whole. I'll be sure to keep you all updated.

Where can I download the latest client?(2)
Hi there,

I currently have the latest version of SWG installed on my laptop, but I'm spending alot of time at my local cyber cafe.  They don't have wireless, so I'm forced to use their PC's, which currently don't have SWG installed.

I tried to download the station launcher on one of their machines and it worked fine, but their download speed is very slow when I tried to download SWG (it was estimating 7 hours).

So what I want to do is copy the install files to a USB drive or DVD and bring them in to install directly.  OR if this works, just copy the /Program Files/Star Wars Galaxies folder from my laptop onto one of their computers (this was won't work if SWG accesses the system registry or other core windows files though).

I do have my installation discs (3 cd's I think).  Which I could bring, but then I have to wait for it to patch and I have a feeling it will be really slow.  (Is there a way to download the latest patcher onto a CD and bring it with me perhaps?)

So how can I go about doing this?

Thanks SMILEY<img src=" />

No hotbar, woha....(0)
So I reactiavte my account, install, update etc etc

now my hotbar is well...gone. Anyone have a solution to this?

Guide: How to Download the Client Files(0)

Background:  Yesterday I posted a question here asking how to download the client files, and I didn't get any response.  The question arose when I wanted to install SWG at my local cyber cafe, as they don't have CD drives on their computers for me to install it off my own copy.  So I went digging and couldn't find anything useful on the forums, and then I tried Chat Support and the following options presented themselves.

The FAQ link in this forum links to a thread that supposedly discusses how to download the client files, but it actually just talks about how to deal with client crashes (maybe the link is just pointing to the wrong page?).

I hope you find this helpful SMILEY:)

Requirement:  SOE Account

In order for either or these steps to work, you must have an active SOE account that has Star Wars Galaxies enabled.  If you don't, you can simply go to the SWG website and buy a new account and download the software when you checkout, but this costs $20 and it's silly if you already have an account.

Option 1:  Station Launcher

If you have an existing SWG or SOE account, you can download the new Station LaunchPad tool, which takes about 30 seconds to install and serves as a launch point for all SOE games.  Once you install it and login with your account, it will let you download all SOE games that you have purchased.

Problem:  With this option, it's very very slow.  I don't know why, but when I installed it and tried to download SWG it was estimating 7-8 hours to complete the download.

Problem 2:  Station LaunchPad is currently in the Beta stage, so it's full of bugs.  I don't know how reliable this platform is right now.

Option 2:  Direct Download

I went into chat support and they sent me a link to a ticket that outlines the steps to download every SOE game directly.  Here are the steps for SWG (make sure you follow all of them, otherwise it won't work):

1. Install Launchpad if you don't have it already, http://patch.station.sony.com:7000/...l_LaunchPad.exe
2. Go to your Launchpad folder, C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launchpad. Right click on launchpad.exe and choose send to --> desktop.
3. Next, create a folder in C:\Program Files called Star Wars Galaxies
4. Go to your desktop, right click on that icon and choose properties.
5. In the target box, enter this exactly with quotes and all: "C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launchpad\Launchpad.exe" /game:starwars
6. In the Start in box, put this in, quotes and all: "C:\Program Files\Star Wars Galaxies"
7. Click on Apply, then Close.
8. Double-click the icon and the game will download.

I am currently doing Option 2 at my local cyber cafe, and it's estimating about 50 minutes to download SWG Complete Online Adventures, which is way faster than Station Launcher's 7+ hours.

Cheers SMILEY:)
